A YellowCake Shop Experience

With fashion week in NYC coming to an end I decided to get back into the fashion world and attend a show here in Cleveland. The show was held at Rockefeller Gardens in downtown and it was an incredible experience to say the least. Yellowcake is a signature line of women's outerwear and accessories designed and crafted by artist and Project Runway alumna Valerie Mayen. Everything is handmade in the United States with timeless design, keen attention to detail, and superior construction. Every day they enact practices that reduce our carbon footprint and lower the contribution to textile waste. They are constantly supporting neighbors and non-profits through donations. They are an incredible brand and the nicest people around the big CLE!

The event was a total success and everyone was left blown away. The food was great, the music was fantastic, and obviously the fashion show was "of a kind".

Below are some photos that I captured at the event!

The woman behind it all! Valerie Mayen!

The Artists. Cleveland's Premier Electric Violinist Kent Dockus and Arizona's DJ Blaine Kelley!

Behind the scenes. The most beautiful pieces! It was so incredible to find out that all of these were made here in the US and are available for purchase on YELLOWCAKE SHOP.

What an awesome surprise!! And right in time for Halloween! Bring on the elephants!
